Heart of a Prodigal Son (Cantonese)

Posted on July 12th, 2010 by admin

This is a remake of the 500th video of Teress Teng for my former channels on Youtube in 2009, since December 7, 2007. dandelionjp and I worked together with the English translation. This time, I have revised the background clips and researched for the correct lyrics. As a result, I have also slightly revised part of the Cantonese romanization. Since there is no official Cantonese pinyin available, dandelionjp’s romanization of the lyrics is invaluable to the non-Cantonese-speaking fans of Teresa Teng.

To recognise her contribution to many of my former video uploads, translation into English some of Miss Teng’s songs from the Indonesian language, and assistance in interpreting some Japanese songs, and background research whenever asked by the same busy me, I hereby respectfully dedicate this video to a very important Chinese-Japanese Youtube friend of my channel, dandelionjp. Please also visit and offer your support for all the uploads done by dandelionjp at her beautiful channel.

This song is listed in Teresa Teng’s 1980 Cantonese album (One Of The Two Must Be Destroyed). The original song writer and singer is the famed Hong Kong singer 許冠傑 Samuel Hui.

(Lon Ji Sum Sing) Heart Of A Prodigal Son

(Nan fun jan yu ga, yan min tou him jak)
It’s hard to decipher truth from falsehood sometimes, as some of us are dangerously deceitful.
(Gei hooi yau kong heong wing wa, chin boon sooi tik pud fun cha)
How many would share life’s splendor with you, like water droplets off the eaves, each one no different from the other?
(Mou qi jeng looi wa, tou mong tin sing gan)
An ignorant frog inside the well seeks in vain to heighten prestige and fame.
(Hoong tak yi mook kwong yue ma, sooi liu gum ngook bin bai ngan)
Conceited and short-sighted, who would have expected a mansion to be reduced to rubbles?
(Ming looi yau si, joong sooi yau, ming looi mou si mok keong kau)
As gains in life are predetermined, there is no need to strive for the impossible.
There may be thunders and there may be storms, but why be afraid?
Happiest are those with a just mind and a clear conscience, collecting blessings with good deeds.
(Interlude)
There may be thunders and there may be storms, but why be afraid?
Happiest are those with a just mind and a clear conscience, collecting blessings with good deeds.

(Ming looi yau si, joong sooi yau, ming looi mou si mok keong kau)
As gains in life are predetermined, there is no need to strive for the impossible.
(Yan bei hoi looi sa, mou yoong dou hin kwa)
We resemble the sand in the sea, why worry unnecessarily
(Kuan ho kin man tin lok ha, meng lei sik gan chi mou fa)
See the evening glow all over the sky? Fame and fortune, like the fog will soon vanish into nothingness, too
(Kuan ho kin man tin lok ha, meng lei sik gan chi mou f)a
See the evening glow all over the sky? Fame and fortune, like the fog will soon vanish into nothingness, too

Barney Frank Confronts Woman At Townhall Comparing Obama To Hitler

Posted on July 4th, 2010 by admin

At a Barney Frank town hall meeting in Dartmouth, MA, a constituent asks, “Why are you supporting this Nazi policy?”

Frank responds: “On what planet do you spend most of your time?” He then calls her approach “vile, contemptible nonsense.” He closes by saying: “Trying to have a conversation with you would be like arguing with a dining room table.”

When i was still just an innocent little girl
I met love, didn’t know love, from the past until now

Until he left as well
Left me wandering in the clouds
Realised no one could replace
The trust that he once gave me

See me fly
I’m proud to fly up high
I can’t always rely
On others for their help

Believe me I can fly
I’m singing in the sky
No matter wind or rain
I’m not scared if it repeats

I no longer am that innocent little girl
I met love, gave my all
Still believe in true love
Wind or rain, I won’t hide
Humbly bow my head down low
Like the seagull comes & goes
Looking for a miracle

See me fly,
I’m proud to fly up high
Life finally begun
I want to be enthralled
Believe Me I Can Fly
I’m Singing In The Sky
You ever once told me
“Be a courageous girl!”

I hope one day I can see you again
Proudly tell it to the skies
I’m riding on your wind

Let me fly
I’m proud to fly up high
Life finally begun
I want to be enthralled
Believe Me I Can Fly
I’m Singing In The Sky
You ever once told me
“Be a courageous girl!”
I won’t be alone,
because you’re always there

Well, my translation isn’t very good, but hope you understood it anyway:)

oops & there was a mistake in the video! the intro should read “made for fun” instead of just “made for”. so sorry about that but i felt that its minor so i won’t be changing that.

enjoy the video! & please rate & comment thanks:)
